“I hated that damp feeling more than anything.”
Even after my leaks got lighter, I was still wearing a pad every day. Some days I'd hardly leak at all, but by lunchtime the pad would feel damp and I'd want to change it.
That was the part I couldn't stand. Sitting through lunch or driving home and knowing you were sitting on a wet pad.
I wasn't sure these boxers would be any different, to be honest.
But I've been happy with how they feel. The moisture gets pulled away instead of just sitting there against my skin. I still change into a clean pair when I need to, but I'm not dealing with that same damp pad feeling all afternoon.

“I used to wonder if other people could smell it.”
I was using TENA pads after my prostate surgery. They worked pretty well, but if I'd had a few leaks during the morning, I'd start wondering if there was a smell.
Nobody ever said anything. Maybe nobody noticed. But I'd be sitting next to someone at lunch or visiting friends, and it'd be in the back of my mind.
The odor control was one of the reasons I decided to try these.
I haven't had that same worry hanging over me every time I go out. I can sit through lunch and actually enjoy myself instead of wondering if I need to go change.

“I wasn't sure how the washing part would work.”
I'd been using disposable pads for so long that throwing one away and grabbing a new one was just part of my routine.
When I saw washable boxers, I figured they'd be a pain. I didn't want to spend my time hand-washing special underwear or worrying about what to do the next morning.
Turns out I was making it more complicated than it was.
I bought a few pairs so I could wear one, wash one, and have another ready. I put them in with the regular laundry and follow the washing instructions.
I don't miss having that box of pads taking up space in the bathroom cabinet.

“I thought they were pretty expensive at first.”
I'm not going to lie, the price made me hesitate. I was used to buying disposable pads, and spending that much on underwear seemed a bit steep.
Then I sat down and did the math on what I was spending on pads every month. It added up to a lot more than I realized.
So I figured I'd give these a shot.
I've been wearing the same pairs for over a year now, and they're still doing the job. No more buying box after box of pads or worrying about running out.
Looking back, I wish I'd made the switch sooner.
